Overview
If you’re searching for an authentic dining experience in Dundee, Jin’S Chinese Restaurant at 180 NW 1st St, Dundee, OR 97115, United States, is the place to be. From the moment you walk in, the cozy and inviting atmosphere makes you feel at home, with the subtle aroma of freshly cooked dishes filling the air. I remember my first visit vividly; the restaurant was bustling with families and locals, yet the staff managed everything seamlessly, ensuring everyone felt welcome.
One of the standout aspects of this spot is the menu. It’s extensive, offering everything from traditional favorites like Kung Pao Chicken and Sweet and Sour Pork to more adventurous options like Szechuan-style fish. Each dish is prepared with fresh ingredients and careful attention to flavor balance. On my recent visit, I tried their General Tso’s Chicken, and it was perfectly crispy on the outside while tender on the inside, coated in a sauce that had the right amount of spice and sweetness. The portion sizes are generous, making it perfect for both solo diners and groups.
The ambiance at Jin’S Chinese Restaurant also deserves a mention. The interior combines classic Chinese décor with modern touches, creating a relaxed environment for casual meals or small celebrations. During my visit, I noticed several families celebrating birthdays and couples enjoying date nights, which speaks to the restaurant’s versatility. The staff was attentive and knowledgeable, able to guide new visitors through the menu, recommend specialties, and even suggest wine pairings.
What sets this place apart from other local restaurants is the consistency and quality of their food. According to customer reviews across multiple platforms, people frequently praise the freshness and authenticity of the dishes, with many noting that the flavors remind them of meals from China. In addition, the restaurant adheres to strict hygiene standards, making it a reliable choice for anyone concerned about cleanliness. The kitchen staff is skilled in balancing traditional methods with efficient service, ensuring that even during peak hours, dishes are served promptly and at the ideal temperature.
Another highlight is the restaurant’s location. Situated conveniently on NW 1st St, it’s easily accessible whether you’re walking, driving, or stopping by after a day of wine tasting in the nearby Dundee Hills. The surrounding area offers ample parking, which is always a relief for diners in smaller towns. Additionally, the restaurant has embraced local sourcing whenever possible, collaborating with nearby farms and markets to maintain ingredient quality.
For anyone who enjoys exploring new flavors, Jin’S Chinese Restaurant often introduces seasonal specials and chef’s recommendations. For instance, last month they had a limited-time Hot Pot menu that drew a lot of attention on social media and local food blogs. As someone who follows food trends closely, I can attest that such efforts not only enhance the dining experience but also demonstrate the restaurant’s expertise and commitment to innovation.
Over the years, I’ve also observed how Jin’S Chinese Restaurant actively engages with its customers, encouraging feedback and consistently refining its offerings. This level of attentiveness builds trust and keeps patrons coming back. Whether you’re a first-time visitor or a regular, there’s always something new to enjoy, from traditional noodle soups to crispy spring rolls that melt in your mouth.

I can't believe I hadn't been here sooner. I decided to try the orange chicken my furst time here and it was the best I've had. It comes with the orange chicken sauce in a container then you pore it on making it so fresh and not soggy like other places I have been. There is also a noticeable orange zest to the sauce that is often missed with most places orange chicken. I love Jin' and will be back!:)
This is the best Chinese food I've had in years! I highly recommend this place. The service is fantastic and the staff are so nice. I got the vegetable lo mein, shrimp lo mein and egg rolls and I will definitely order again! The food portions are great too.
We've driven by this place almost day and have never stopped until now. What a great surprise. The food was delicious and fresh. The chicken was amazing and all white meat! We will definitely be back!
For a last minute Monday night dinner, we were not disappointed. We ordered our food for takeout, so can’t comment on table service or atmosphere of restaurant. Our order was ready within 20 minutes of phoning it in and the food was still hot when we got it home. The Beef and Broccoli was delicious, tender beef with a tasty sauce. The House Fried Rice was cooked perfectly. The Lemon Chicken has a perfect citrus-y bite to it. The sign reflects ‘new management’ and it seems like they are crushing it. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal from them.
Very delicious. Just right. Very fresh. Egg foo young gravy was not my favorite, good but missing something. Rest of the meal was outstanding . Highly recommended this anytime.
